On my old phone, I would check my voice mail messages like so

  • Dial the voice mail number
  • Hit speaker phone and listen

Unfortunately, the iPhone doesn't have a speakerphone button when I press voicemail under Phone.

Can I get this functionality by somehow disabling what the iPhone thinks is my voicemail number, so I can call it normally and use speaker phone?

If you go to:

Phone > Voicemail

There is a "Speaker" button in the top right hand corner. Tap this and then tap the desired voicemail recording to hear it through speakerphone.

Ah my one doesn't look like that. However, I figured out how to do it! :) – alex Nov 18 at 7:57
