Is it possible to get a replacement screen off eBay and DIY?

Do I need to take it to the phone dealer?

Can I live with the crack - or will it eventually break more than just the screen?

On my old phone, I would check my voice mail messages like so

Dial the voice mail number

Hit speaker phone and listen

Unfortunately, the iPhone doesn't have a speakerphone button when I press voicemail under Phone.

Can I get this functionality by somehow disabling what the iPhone thinks is my voicemail number, so I can call it normally and use speaker phone?

I have considered purchasing one of the GPS apps, but they are so expensive. There also doesn't seem to be a free version to evaluate.

Has anyone purchased one of these and can give an honest review? How do they compare to traditional GPS units?

Thanks

The new iPhone only accepts charging via the USB pins.

Try an accessory like this:

http://iphone.stackexchange.com/questions/51/getting-the-iphone-to-not-show-annoying-incompatible-messages-when-it-is-notGetting the iPhone to not show annoying 'incompatible' messages when it is notalex2009-11-15T07:57:01Z2009-11-15T07:57:01Z

I recently installed a head unit in my car that allows me to connect my iPhone and listen to music from that.

My problem now however, is that when I connect it, it says something along the lines of

'This product is incompatible with your iPhone. Would you like to switch to aeroplane mode?'

However, there is no problem, and I can access my music via the head unit.

Is there any way to get rid of this annoying message?

Thanks

http://iphone.stackexchange.com/questions/1/what-case-do-you-use-for-your-iphone-ipod/48#48Answer by alex for What case do you use for your iPhone/iPod?alex2009-11-11T04:50:47Z2009-11-11T04:50:47Z
I got an Invisible Shield, and here is my quick review

Takes a long time to get it positioned right on the back. So much I omitted the top and bottom strips.

It is really tough and does protect your iPhone

From being in my pocket a lot (and perhaps by having an iPhone with a white backing), the sides of the clear shield picked up a lot of gunk and made a brown line around the edges.

The back piece ended up peeling off. So I ripped it off.

After a month or so, the front once peeled off and got stuck to itself, so I ripped it off too.

Keep in mind my iPhone goes everywhere with me, but I do treat it with respect.

http://iphone.stackexchange.com/questions/8/how-do-i-remove-the-scratches-from-the-back-of-my-iphone/33#33Answer by alex for How do I remove the scratches from the back of my iPhone?alex2009-10-27T05:27:53Z2009-10-27T05:27:53Z
I'm not sure about cleaning, but have you considered purchasing perhaps a broken iPhone off ebay and replacing your back cover with it? Obviously you'll need to ensure the donor case is of a good quality.

I'm not sure how much a broken iPhone goes for, but I would imagine not terribly much.

http://iphone.stackexchange.com/questions/1/what-case-do-you-use-for-your-iphone-ipod/7#7Answer by alex for What case do you use for your iPhone/iPod?alex2009-10-03T22:22:19Z2009-10-03T22:22:19Z
I've got a silicone case, except I find when I place the iPhone in my pocket, it is difficult to remove because the case is very grabby. It doesn't like to slide against material - it seems to generate a lot of friction.

I have ordered a leather case that my entire iPhone will slide into.
